EMD's E9 PASSENGER DIESELS |
|
Built from May 1954 to January 1964, the E-9s were the "ultimate" Passenger locomotives.
While internal changes resulted in a new rating of 2,400-h.p., the only external change were flush-mounted headlight
gaskets and installation of vertical FARR grills. In a production period of ten years, only 100 A-units and B-units
were sold to ten railroads. Still, the E-9s closed the book of stramlined passenger locomotives.
All models will be DCC-ready, with speaker platforms installed. As usual, Division Point will catalog a
wide selection of these locomotives, and YOUR reservations will decide the production schedule. So, get those reservations
in soonest!
