DM&IR "M" SERIES MALLETS |
With the success of our sold out M-1, and M-2 "Mallet" project, we decided to continue the series by bringing you the "First . . . and Last" of these beautiful machines, #200-206, and rebuilt #207. The Mallets were delivered starting with #200 in 1910, and #'s 200-206 continued unchanged, until retirement with minor exceptions. During shopping, several engines received rebuilt cabs etc., and #207 was completely rebuilt after a collision on Proctor Hill in 1929. She emerged from the shop sporting "Flying" pumps, Sport cab, Elesco feed water heater on the brow, single expansion cylinders, and a fancy DM&IR Grey paint job. The Division Point will bring you both of these versions in very limited quantities later this year. We will offer the Original version of engines 200-206, all circa '40s/'50s, #201 with the front cab window plated over, and the rebuilt #207 with Grey boiler. Our models will represent the engines in service in the late in their careers. Below are several photos of these beasts. Contact your Division Point dealer and don't miss out!!
