Just a quick “Hot…” today folks…I wanted to showcase the “production sample” of the soon to be delivered Krauss-Maffei project. Even as this is a “Reduex” of a project we did about 8 or 9 years ago, I tried to make this run…..just a little different! You will note that most of the “Bloody Nose” versions have the standard SP snowplow added. All K-M’s got these before scrapping in the later ’60’s. We also did the models in this paint scheme with the abbreviated nose “wings” that were used towards the end of their service life. Our premiere diesel builder did his usual beautiful job on these models. Check out the photos (from my iPhone…!Ha!) and I think you can appreciate the detail incorporated in these models, and as usual, they run as good as they look.
I have also gotten word that our next RS/RSD project is right on track to be delivered in July of this year. Just a very few models left guys and girls, so get your orders in now as most offerings are sold out at this time. Should have a production sample of the AT&SF RSD-5 in Zebra Stripe here shortly.
We are also closing in on the final cut in the “Great Passenger Car Project” due late this year. Our Light Weight Series of cars will include some we have done and some brand new types for roads never done before (NKP/PM, NYC, IC D&H). On the Heavy Weight side of the project, we have some so called “Tree” cars (Fir, Poplar, Beech) and some very colorful Pullmans that have never been done. I will also have a few HW cars that went into the D&RGW “Prospector”/”Royal Gorge”/”Yampa Valley Mail” and were painted in the Grande’s Yellow/5 Stripe scheme. This started out a a fairly small project…but as always, morphed into a pretty large one! Sammodel will be the builder as with all of our passenger cars.
Just a teaser here, but the B&M P-2/P-3 project is back on, and may get here early next year. Stay tuned for the specifics, and when you know them…I will ask for new reservations as the players have changed as far as offerings. I do know our Special Edition model will the the only P-class engine to have been fitted with a (huge!) Snowplow. Stay tuned for more on this project.
Want to get this posted, so that’s all for today. My first time including photos in the body of the post….so I apologize in advance for any “glitches!!” Cheers Jack
